The International Conference on Healthy Cities
organised by the World Health Organisation,
took place in Athens on 22-25 October 2014. This
year’s international conference marked 25 years of implementation of the
Healthy Cities programme in the European region of the WHO and the
launch of the sixth 5-year phase, 2014-2018. It also marked the
implementation of the new WHO agenda, “Health 2020”. Road safety was addressed on several occasions in this international conference.
