The stakeholder Conference on Road Infrastructure Safety Management organised by the European Commision took place with great success on 13 June 2014, in Brussels. More than 80 key road safety experts, stakeholders and decision makers participated and contributed actively to the Conference discussions. The Conference was part of the study for the evaluation of the costs and benefits associated with Directive 2008/96/EC on road infrastructure safety management and focused on three key topics: Vulnerable Road Users, Intelligent Transport Systems and Measurement of Safety Performance of the Roads.
