A Regional workshop on road safety, hosted by the
Kenya National Transport and Safety Authority and co-organised by the
Africa Transport Policy Program (SSATP) of the
World Bank, the
International Road Traffic Accident Database organisation (IRTAD) of the
ITF/OECD and the United Nations Economic Commissions for
Africa and for
Europe, took place with great success in Nairobi, Kenya from 13 to 15 December 2016.
This
Workshop covered United Nations Road Safety legal instruments,
fundamentals of road safety data management and minimum data
requirements for all African countries to monitor progress towards the Decade of Action for Road Safety and Sustainable Development Goals,
with active participation of African international road safety
stakeholders and experts, including the active contribution of NTUA,
the presentations of which concerned:
