The 2018 Fleet Safety Awards Brake's annual Fleet Safety Awards recognise the achievements of those working to help reduce the number of road crashes involving at-work drivers. Fleet Safety Conference 2018 Over 180 delegates from the UK fleet industry attended Brake’s annual fleet safety conference at the BCEC in Birmingham last month. The well established event saw delegates attend presentations and break out sessions exploring the theme Facing the future : are you ready? Delegates were prompted to question how in a rapidly changing world their fleets and organisations could innovatively contribute to the future of road safety. Led by leading industry specialists, topics covered included safety through innovation, managing young drivers, electric vehicles and prioritising people and their welfare. Thank you to all who attended and Ambit, our sponsor for your support. Delegates were also first to see the launch of the manifesto for Global Fleet Champions sponsored by Allianz. Global Fleet Champions aims to highlight the enormous contribution that commercial and public organisations around the world, in any country, can make to tackling the carnage of death and injuries on roads and poor air quality from road transport, through safe and sustainable movement of people and goods.
