Brake's Educator's Bulletin - December

Thank you for your support in 2018! We hope everyone had a fantastic 2018 and you're ready for the festive season. A huge thank you to everyone who has supported Brake this year. Your support helps us raise awareness of road safety and your funds are so valuable to help us continue our work. Read on to find out how you can get involved in 2019.

Beep Beep! Day Get your 2-7 year olds involved with our national Beep Beep! Days in 2019 on Wednesday(s) 20 March, 17 July and 20 November. It's a great way of getting them to understand and be engaged with road safety basics. Everyone who registers will receive a free resource pack, or you can purchase a bumper pack for just £10.50+VAT (per 50 children.)

Kids Walk 2019 On Wednesday 12 June, thousands of children aged 4-11 from across the country will put their best feet forward to promote road safety and the health and planet-saving benefits of walking.This project aims to inspire and engage children about the dangers they face and help Brake call on grown-ups to make their streets safer. Sign up now for your free action pack including stickers, certificates, posters, lesson plans and other activities!

Coming in 2019:

Zebras At Brake we believe that every child has the right to be able to get about in their community, in ways that are safe, sustainable, healthy and fair. Our brand new Zebras website will host a wealth of resources to empower families, schools and community leaders, and the children that they care for, to speak up for road safety and sustainable mobility, with children’s safety and health at the heart of their messaging.

Youth for Brake We will also begin a pilot project with secondary schools, including an online hub containing tools and resources to enable young people to become advocates for road safety in their local communities.
