Graham, Joseph's dad and part of Team Tyers, told us why he is taking part:
"On July 21st myself and my younger son Edward will be running with a
team of friends in the London 10K. This will be the fifth time we have
taken part to raise funds for Brake in memory of our eldest son, Joseph,
who we tragically lost at the age of just 20 in a fatal collision on a
Cornish rural road in September 2014.
After Brake helped us deal with the aftermath, I took up running as one of the the ways of dealing with my ever-present grief.

It seemed only natural to support Brake with this and other fundraising activities.
Taking part in the London 10K is a wonderfully uplifting experience
which I would thoroughly recommend to anyone, whatever your motivation
and ability. The course takes a fantastic route through many of the
capital’s iconic sights and landmarks and you will be running alongside
thousands of other people, most of whom are there for charities and good
causes. Plus, the course is lined with people enthusiastically supporting the runners.”
