Spotlight on... National Road Victim Service

Brake’s National Road Victim Service supports people affected by road death and serious injury and the professionals supporting them.

Every 20 minutes, someone is killed or seriously injured on a British road. Each crash is a tragedy, each crash is preventable. Our vision is a world with zero road deaths and serious injuries but while road trauma remains a reality, we will provide support to those affected.

New Road Safety Action Plan
The Government has set out a package of measures to reduce the number of people killed and injured on roads, including a review of roads policing, which Brake welcomes given the findings in our recent report on roads policing. Read more
Continued stagnation in Britain’s road safety record
Government figures revealed that there has been little change in the number of people killed and seriously injured on the roads. Brake has called on the Government to adopt a Vision Zero approach with clear targets to tackle this stagnation. Read more
Virtual Run 2019

2019 Bike to School Week, 23 – 27 September!
To support schools throughout #BikeToSchoolWeek, the Bikeability Trust and Sustrans have produced a range of resources, including posters, daily activities and a video guide on how to make cycling safer.
And there are two competitions for participants to enter to win bikes by submitting photos and stories of their Bike to School Week activities! Learn more
