New year, new government A new Conservative government is in place; however, Rt Hon Grant Shapps MP has stayed in post as Secretary of State for Transport, while Baroness Vere continues as Roads Minister, with a responsibility for road safety. The Department for Transport (DfT) is still working towards its Road Safety Action Plan announced last summer. At Brake, we will continue to seek support from MPs for our Manifesto for safe and healthy mobility and engage with the DfT and Ministers for more action on road safety. Project24 Project24 is a new competition for 11–18 year olds that challenges them to make a 24-second film that raises awareness and inspire others to campaign for safer roads. Deadline for entries is Friday 3 April. Read more

Beep Beep! with Timmy Time is back Beep Beep! with Timmy Time is back, and in 2020 Timmy will be helping more than 300,000 children learn important lessons about road safety at Beep Beep! Days. Get involved on Wednesday 18 March and Wednesday 18 November. Read more
