The representatives of several generations of Polish and international successes, have set a common goal – to travel by classic FIAT126p from Bielsko-Biała to Monte Carlo, to help children, victims of road crashes, call attention to the importance of post-crash care as well as importance of road safety improvement – and the project is becoming already international!
The Great Expedition of Fiat 126p 2023 is a great event in which among others Polish motorsport champions, its legends and young enthusiasts, a total of 35 crews, among them: Sobiesław Zasada, rally driver, master of sport and life, legendary, most titled Polish rally driver, model and inspiration for many generations of Poles; Longin Bielak, rally driver, 21-time champion and vice-champion of Poland; Rafał Sonik, rally driver, winner of 9 world cups and 14-time medalist and Dakar Rally winner, Kajetan Kajetanowicz, rally driver, multiple world rally vice-champion, three-time European champion and four-time Polish champion and Bartosz Ostalowski, drifter, the only professional in the world sports driver who drives with his foot. On July the 4th, they will set off from Bielsko-Biała and go to Monte Carlo and back, by Fiat 126 p, covering about 4000 km: Czech Republic, Austria, Italy, Monaco. After their return, their vehicles and many other objects will go to charity auctions, they will gather also money for the victims through internet platform zrzutka.pl .
On June 7th, FEVR board member and head of Malopolska Road Safety Council – Katarzyna Dobrzańska-Junco – took part in the press conference in Warsaw announcing the project, together with all the official partners. FEVR is supporting the project with the honorary patronage of MInistry of Infrastructure as well as with FEVR patronage.
