Do you have a road safety project or initiative that deserves EU-wide recognition? Our
Excellence in Road Safety Awards highlight and recognise best practices
from across Europe - allowing us to share road safety knowledge and
celebrate the dedication of our members.
Your
application will give you the chance to win a prestigious European
award, inspire others and help build greater momentum towards our Vision
Zero goal – reducing road deaths to almost zero by 2050.
Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Thursday 14 November 2024, in Brussels and online.

The categories for 2024 are... - Best use of technology and innovation to promote road safety
- Best project supporting road safety for vulnerable road users: pedestrians and cyclists
- Best project promoting road safety education
- Best project supporting road safety in motorcycling
- Urban Road Safety Award (open to municipal, city and regional authorities)
The latest 2023 figures show stalling progress in reducing road fatalities in too many countries,
indicating that there’s still much work to be done in improving road
safety! If your road safety initiative is ready for recognition, start
your application here – applications close on Monday 17 June 2024.

Discover the winners of the European urban mobility awards |
The
European Mobility Week Award was awarded to Budapest live in Brussels
at an in-person ceremony, while the Mobility Action award went to Nudgd
online. Both awards reward activities conducted in 2023.

The
European Road Safety Observatory has released a new report to expand on
why cyclists are vulnerable in traffic and constitute the only road
user group where the number of fatalities has not declined since 2010.

Let's behave - an awareness campaign |
La
Sécurité Routière has launched a new campaign featuring children
imitating their parents' bad habits. It's a reminder to adults that
children look up to them and that they should behave accordingly, even
behind the wheel.

New initiative for safe micromobility |
Traffic
safety in Slovenia has seen an increase in traffic incidents among
e-scooter riders. Zavod VOZIM, in partnership with Zavarovalnica
Triglav, are seeking to raise awareness among riders about e-scooter
dangers and promote responsible behaviour.
