German Transportminister on noise: ‘Road closures are no option’.
 
FEMA members Biker Union (BU) and Bundesverband der Motorradfaher (BVDM) had a meeting with German federal transport minister Andreas Scheuer. The minister repeated that road closures are not an option for him.
 
 
 

How to improve the driving licence.
The European Commission wants to revise the driving licence legislation. FEMA asks the Commission to shift the focus from technical skills to better risk awareness. FEMA also states that physical disabilities should not necessarily form an obstacle to obtain a driving licence.
 
 

European Parliament: no more exceptions for motorcycle testing.
The European Parliament calls upon the European Commission to have all powered two- and three-wheelers periodically tested.

Where are the electric motorcycles?
The European Union aims for a 90% reduction in transport emissions and a ban on petrol engines. Car manufacturers jump at the opportunity to sell us one of their newly developed electric or hybrid cars, but the established motorcycle industry does not appear to be so keen.
