Η ΕΥΘΥΤΑ ΡΟΔΟΥ- ΠΑΡΑΤΗΡΗΤΗΡΙΟ ΟΔΙΚΗΣ ΑΣΦΑΛΕΙΑΣ

Εταιρεία Υποστήριξης Θυμάτων Τροχαίων Ατυχημάτων είναι ένας Μη Κερδοσκοπικός, Μη Κυβερνητικός Οργανισμός, στο χώρο της Οδικής Ασφάλειας.
Στη Ρόδο λειτουργεί από τον Ιούνιο 2004 , πρωτοβουλία της Προέδρου Καρύδη Ελένης, θύμα τροχαίου ατυχήματος, μετά από τον χαμό του γιου της Δημήτρη 19 χρόνων στις 12 Φεβρουαρίου 2002, πλαισιωμένη από επιστήμονες, θύματα, συγγενείς τροχαίων δυστυχημάτων και ευαισθητοποιημένα άτομα στο θέμα της Οδικής Ασφάλειας.
Είναι μέλος:

-Της Ευρωπαϊκής Ομοσπονδίας Θυμάτων Τροχαίων Ατυχημάτων-FEVR (Σύμβουλος του Ο.Η.Ε και του Π.Ο.Υ)
-Υποστηρικτής της Παγκόσμιας Οργάνωσης « MAKE ROADS SAFE »
-Το 2008 υπέγραψε την Ευρωπαϊκή Χάρτα Οδικής Ασφάλειας, για λιγότερα θύματα με την υποστήριξη της Ε.Ε.
-Αρωγό μέλος του Ε.Δ.Ι.ΠΑ.Β (Εθνικό Δίκτυο Πρόληψης Ατυχημάτων , συμπεριλαμβανομένων των τροχαίων)
-Μέλος της Διακομματικής Επιτροπής Δήμου Ρόδου
-Ιδρυτικό μέλος του Πανελλαδικού Συλλόγου
"SOS ΤΡΟΧΑΙΑ ΕΓΚΛΗΜΑΤΑ"
-Υποστηρίζει την Δεκαετία Δράσης 2011-2020 για την Οδική Ασφάλεια
-Συνεργάζεται με φορείς του Δημόσιου του Ιδιωτικού τομέα, με Παγκόσμιους & Ευρωπαϊκούς Φορείς και Οργανισμούς.

Ποιοι είναι οι σκοποί :

+Η υποστήριξη των θυμάτων των Τροχαίων Ατυχημάτων από ομάδα συμβούλων ( νομικών, ιατρών, ειδικών εμπειρογνωμόνων, συγκοινωνιολόγων, μηχανολόγων, εκπαιδευτικών, ψυχολόγων, κοινωνικών λειτουργών ).

+Η ανάπτυξη αλληλεγγύης μεταξύ των θυμάτων των Τροχαίων Ατυχημάτων( ηθική υποστήριξη ).

+Η οργανωμένη παρέμβαση και η κοινωνική πίεση προς τους φορείς της πολιτείας, για τη βελτίωση της οδικής ασφάλειας και την μείωση των τροχαίων ατυχημάτων.

+Η υποστήριξη η ανάληψη και προώθηση δραστηριοτήτων σε θέματα τα οποία προάγουν την οδική ασφάλεια, την κυκλοφοριακή αγωγή, την έρευνα, την ενημέρωση , την ευαισθητοποίηση των πολιτών των ιδιαίτερα ευάλωτων ηλικιών (μαθητών, ηλικιωμένων).

Ποιο είναι το Δυναμικό της:

Η ΕΥΘΥΤΑ ΡΟΔΟΥ, διαθέτει ένα τεχνοκρατικό πυρήνα από επιστήμονες- μέλη διαφόρων κλάδων ( Υγειονομικούς, Νομικούς, Εκπαιδευτικούς, Μηχανολόγους- Μηχανικούς, Πραγματογνώμονες, Συγκοινωνιολόγους, Οικονομολόγους, Αναλυτές Η/Υ, Ψυχολόγους, Κοινωνικούς Λειτουργούς).

Το δυναμικό της ΕΥΘΥΤΑ ΡΟΔΟΥ, ανταποκρίνεται απόλυτα στις υψηλές απαιτήσεις σοβαρών ερευνητικών προγραμμάτων, με θέμα την Οδική Ασφάλεια, την πρόσληψη και την μείωση των Τροχαίων Ατυχημάτων.

Διαθέτει επίσης ένα αξιόλογο επιτελείο έμπειρων επιστημόνων, που της επέτρεψε ως τώρα να πραγματοποιήσει πολλαπλές εκπαιδευτικές- ενημερωτικές δράσεις με στόχο τη βελτίωση της Οδικής Συμπεριφοράς.

Ποιες είναι οι Δραστηριότητές της:

Η ΕΥΘΥΤΑ ΡΟΔΟΥ, συμβάλλει δραστικά στην ενημέρωση των πολιτών για την Οδική Ασφάλεια, την πρόληψη και την μείωση των τροχαίων ατυχημάτων και παρέχει σε μόνιμη βάση Νομική, Ιατρική, Ψυχολογική και Κοινωνική Υποστήριξη σε θύματα και συγγενείς θυμάτων Τροχαίων Ατυχημάτων όταν αυτή ζητηθεί.

Η ΕΥΘΥΤΑ ΡΟΔΟΥ, έχει διοργανώσει εκδηλώσεις ( Ημερίδες, Έκθεση φωτογραφίας , Δράσεις σε ανοικτούς χώρους, Διδασκαλία σε Σχολεία Α/ας και Β/ας Εκπαίδευσης, Σεμινάρια σε κέντρα εκπαίδευσης νεοσυλλέκτων, Ενημερωτικές ομιλίες σε Δήμους της Ρόδου) στο πλαίσιο της ενημέρωσης των πολιτών σε θέματα που προάγουν την Οδική Ασφάλεια και έχει κάνει ουσιαστικές παρεμβάσεις στους φορείς σε θέματα Οδικής Ασφάλειας.

Έχει εκδώσει ενημερωτικά έντυπα με έγκυρη επιστημονική πληροφόρηση σε θέματα Οδικής Ασφάλειας.

Η ΕΥΘΥΤΑ ΡΟΔΟΥ, πιστεύει ότι για την επίτευξη αποτελεσμάτων χρειάζεται δραστηριοποίηση από τους πολίτες, υποστήριξη από τον κρατικό μηχανισμό και αλλαγή της αρνητικής νοοτροπίας στοιχεία που θα μας βοηθήσουν να απαλλαγούμε από την ιδιότητα της Ευρωπαϊκής χώρας με μεγάλο αριθμό Θυμάτων Τροχαίων δυστυχημάτων και με επικίνδυνους δρόμους για ασφαλή οδήγηση.

Our work is never over!

This has been a truly memorable month for all of us at AIP Foundation as we immersed ourselves in worldwide celebrations marking the 7th United Nations Global Road Safety Week (UNGRSW). We had an amazing time celebrating UNGRSW in all of the countries that we operate in. 

 

Under the theme of #RethinkMobility, we joined the international community in calling on policymakers and decision-makers to make walking, cycling, and public transport safe and convenient, especially for vulnerable road users like youth, so that cities can shift to more active and sustainable modes of mobility.

 

In Cambodia, factory workers spoke up for their right to safe mobility on their way to work. At the same time, students in Vietnam encouraged decision-makers to switch to green mobility options through a Community Bike Day 2023. In Thailand, students volunteered to #RethinkMobility with local government officials to make their school zone safer. 

 

Our very own colleagues, Dat Truong, Fatou Jallow, and Jimmy Tang, also shared their visions and dreams for a safer and greener environment as part of the global Twitter Storm hosted by the Global Alliance of NGOs for Road Safety. Together during the one-hour Twitter storm, we raised our voices with our friends and partners through over 1,200 posts, a projected reach of 774,000, and 6 million projected impressions! 

 

In Southern Thailand, secondary school students of Songkhla Satun as youth ambassadors and future leaders were empowered to take a stand on the decision-making stage at the UNGRSW Road Safety Day 2023. The Road Safety Day presented a unique opportunity for students to advocate for safe mobility directly to the decision-makers.

 

Youth are at the heart of our international efforts to #RethinkMobility. To raise young voices from our model city for Safe School Zones and green mobility, Pleiku City hosted the first Vietnam Youth Forum on Sustainable Mobility and Traffic Safety around school zones. The students attending the Youth Forum were empowered to lead the presentation of the key messages on green and safe mobility to their peers and decision-makers in their community.

 

We are also proud to share that we are scaling up the success of our safe school zones model city of Pleiku to schools nationwide. In an effort to safeguard the lives of young students on their journeys to school, AIP Foundation, in partnership with the FIA Foundation, has developed the Safe School Zones Guide (SSZ Guide). This SSZ Guide is a reliable blueprint to address on a larger scale the safe mobility issue around schools across the country. Based on the encouraging results of the Pilot study, the SSZ Guide will be scaled up to build the evidence base to support legislation establishing a legal school zone definition in Vietnam to safeguard every student on their journey to and from school. 

 

While the campaigns around the world wrap up for the 7th UN Global Road Safety Week, we know that our work as an NGO does not stop here. Our time to #RethinkMobility on a global scale is only just starting now.

 

As we jump into summer, we are preparing for the Annual Best Practices workshop to safeguard factory workers on their commutes to and from work in Cambodia. We know that there is much more work to be done, but with partners and friends like you, we know that we do not pave the way forward on our own.

For the 7th UN Global Road Safety Week, YOURS - Youth for Road Safety Advocacy and Campaigns Director Sana’a Khasawneh joined Dr. Etienne Krug from the World Health Organization to talk about how transport and mobility affect global health and sustainable cities.

The Global Alliance of NGOs for Road Safety will hold a series of capacity-building sessions to strengthen the ability of NGOs to integrate the Toolkit into their advocacy programs. Training dates: Thursday 6 July, and Thursday 3 August 2023.
